Location: Kentucky Historical Society, 100 W. Broadway, Frankfort, KY 40601
Join us for a historic celebration honoring the 77th anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act—the landmark 1948 legislation that granted women permanent status in the U.S. military.
This event, hosted by Lady Veterans Connect, is a tribute to the courage, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women who have served in our armed forces. The ceremony will end around 1 pm and attendees will be able to use the remaining time to eat, socialize and enjoy the exhibits. (The Women Veterans exhibit is leaving at the beginning of July, this would be a great time to catch it before it's gone.)
Highlights include:
Ceremonial Program: Reflecting on the significance of the Act and its legacy.
Keynote Speakers: Veterans and leaders sharing personal stories and insights.
Community Gathering: Connecting with fellow veterans and supporters.
Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a community member, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to honor the women who have paved the way for future generations in the military.
Admission is free, and all are welcome. For more information and to RSVP, please visit Lady Veterans Connect Events.
